King Kluck

Here are some pictures of "King Kluck." If you read the world map post King Kluck is an actual mummified chicken. My 6th grade team went through the actual process the ancient egyptians went through to mummify a human body. The process took us 83 days to complete. We first put the dead chicken in a bag of salt to dry ( we chaged the salt about every two weeks, we did this about 5 times), then we had to rub it in sweet smelling oils, then we had to wrap polyurathaned guaze around the chicken. We also made an 150 pound cement sarcohagus to put the chicken in. ( if you think the process is easy it is alot harder then it sounds. Grossing people out with it was so fun!! Here are some pictures of the final product. We also put the chicken and the sarcopagus in the hallway and asked for a 25 cent donation to the SPCA to see the chicken so we could help local chickens in need. We made about 11 dollars for the SPCA.
